We offer our clients UK-based hosting which we manage. Most of our clients find this to be the easiest solution, but we don’t insist clients use it; if you want to arrange your own hosting, you’re welcome to.

Our hosting starts from £10/month, billed annually.

Can I get cheaper hosting?

Absolutely yes. If you look around on Google you’ll find cheaper offers (though beware of introductory offers). We don’t attempt to compete on price – a rush to the bottom only hurts our clients. What we offer is security, support, assistance with edits, simplicity, and peace of mind.

We look after the hosting for you, so there’s nothing for you to worry about.

We take care of security upgrades to WordPress and plugins, keeping your website safe. And we give them a quick test first with your site on our development server, to ensure that nothing will break with the upgrade.

We also monitor the site ourselves to ensure it’s working fine, and may make changes to bring it into line with technical improvements or changes in best practice.

We offer email & phone support. Many cheap hosting options don’t offer phone support, or if they do, you’ll spend a long time on hold only to speak to the lowest level of tech support.

In our experience, almost always the issues clients face are support-based, not performance or security. Most hosting companies are trying to get away with the minimum support they can, and – whilst they may be quick to keep the server running – most are very reluctant to help you with the site itself, as it’s time consuming, and the site is your problem, not theirs.

If you’d prefer to select your own hosting, we’re probably happy to offer support on an hourly rate.

Need to make some changes to the site, but forgotten how? No problem. We’ll get it done for you – and we’ll source high-quality images if you need them.

Need an email forward set up? Just email us.

For many of our clients, managing a website is not part of their core business, so we’re happy to do that for you.

Simplicity and Peace of Mind

For smaller organisations, arranging your own hosting can be complicated, and often means you’ve got to deal with lots of settings you don’t understand. Sometimes this gets passed to the most ‘technical’ person, even if their expertise aren’t really relevant. We deal with all that for you.

No waking up to discover that your site is down because your card expired 6 months ago, and you forgot to update it with the hosting company. No losing your login details. For smaller organisations, particularly those with a high turnover or relying on volunteers, even knowing who last had the details can be a problem (“Was it Dave? But he moved to Coventry last year…”).

We keep your site running, so you don’t have to worry.

Many of our clients find it simplest for us to look after their domain registration also; again, we’re happy to do that and to invoice you, so you don’t need to keep an up-to-date credit card on the account.

Fair use

Support and edits are subject to fair use. We reserve the right to charge for excessive support editorial requests.
